Satanic Black
Necromancer Charter

Necromancers
Those who claim to be magical practitioners above the rank of mage in the darker arts of magic are normally called necromancers. Necromancers have three attempts/spells recognized by SB.

Contracts
Contracts for DSA’s, SDA’s, and SRA’s are not needed; however, it should be noted that DSA’s, SDA’s, and SRA’s are a valid reason for assigning AA contracts should the necromancer be seen or become known.

Enhancers
Unholy Blessing enhancers are enhancers that can help a necromancer in their attempts/spells. Should an attempt go into DM/MDM, the usual combat enhancers can be used.

Soul Drain Attempt - SDA
SDA is a spell SB accepts that necromancers can do on a person while alive. If a necromancer comes upon someone he/she doesn’t like, they may attempt to take a part of the person’s soul (resurrection) and add it to the necromancer’s own. If successful, the necromancer gains a resurrection on his/herself and the victim loses a rezz; this cannot be done on someone with no rezzes left.

The SDA Attempt

The Quick Basics
One IC line from the target must be seen before beginning.
OOC Statements:
Satanic Black SDA on (Target’s SN) by (SN of the necromancer)
The date and current time with time zone
State your own dice and any enhancers with Reg
Target state your SB dice, any enhancers and Reg, and then any BG’s in the room*
Then roll 2d20 for perception check on the necromancer
5 minutes to state before auto spell
Call out time for five minutes till target does state stats and has rolled 2d20 or five minutes are up.
If perception check fails on the necromancer.
State that the SDA continues on and the target’s HTSD from the chart below
After that, RP out the spell then roll 2d of legal SB dice to see if spell worked or not.
If the HP of the roll is equal to or more then the target’s HTSD, target is drained of a rezz
If the HP of the roll is less than the target’s HTSD, target is unaffected and aware of the attempt, then target and necromancer auto DM (or MDM with BG's present) to 100 HP with target going first with the HP from the SDA already on target’s HP for the DM (or MDM)

If perception check passes on the necromancer.
Ask target if they wish to fight or flee?
If the target flees, they must RP sighting something and leave the room
If target wants to fight, then target and necromancer auto SM or DM (or MDM) to 100 HP with target going first

Damn Soul Attempt - DSA
DSA is a spell Satanic Black accepts that necromancers can do on a dead person (someone needing a rezz). Should the dead body of an enemy be found and it is known they could be brought back again; a necromancer may be called upon to do a DSA on the body. If the DSA is successful, the person’s soul is damned and may not ever be resurrected in Satanic Black again no matter how many resurrections the person had left.

Slave Resurrection Attempt - SRA
SRA’s are a spell SB accepts that necromancers can do on a dead person (someone needing a rezz). Should a necromancer come upon a dead body and it is known they could be brought back again; the necromancer could try to resurrect the person him/herself and that person would be the necromancer’s slave for life if successful unless the necromancer lets him/her go, of the necromancer's own free will, or the slave dies again.

The DSA/SRA Attempt

Since both DSA and SRA are done the same, I shown both in this explanation.

The Quick Basics
Proof that the target is dead (AA, DM, or logged something of death).
OOC Statements:
Satanic Black (DSA/SRA) on (Target’s SN) by (SN of the necromancer)
The date and current time with time zone
State your own dice and any enhancers with Reg
Target state your SB dice and then any BG’s in the room
5 minutes to state before auto spell
Call out time for five minutes till target does state stats or five minutes are up.

If there is no one present to BG the target, there is no perception check done and just skip the perception check process; if there are BG's present, they must state their SB dice and enhancers with regs.

Call out time for five minutes till BG does state stats or five minutes are up. 5 minutes to state before auto spell

If perception check fails on the necromancer or no BG's present.
State that the DSA/SRA continues on and the target’s HTCS or HTDS from the chart below After that, RP out the spell then roll 2d of legal SB dice to see if spell worked or not. If the HP of the roll is equal to or more then the target’s HTCS or HTDS, target is either damned or rezzed as a slave If the HP of the roll is less than the target’s HTCS or HTDS, target is unaffected and necromancer has to leave.

If perception check passes on the necromancer.
The necromancer has a choice then, either give up on the attempt or fight the bodyguard(s). The necromancer will have to DM or MDM any bodyguards present that sight him/her to try to do either spell. If you are interested in why the necromancer makes the choice of running or fighting, it is because it is the BG's interests to stay and guard the person's body; and not go running off and fighting anyone who come near by the area (at least for any "good" BG that is).
