Bards, the wandering journeymen of the lands, are well known for their performing abilities as well as other skills pertaining to certain areas. As a Bard, certain things will be required in order for the character to retain this type of class. Bards are experts in the performing arts, but they do have Thieving abilities in which case a Thief registration number will have to be obtained in order for the character to be a bonafide Bard. As with any other type of character going for a Thief registration number, it will be the same for the Bard. No special bonus will be given so for that area of character creation. Refer to the Thief charter. Now in obtaining experience for entertaining, the Bard will have to enter a tavern and perform either a poem recitation or the playing of a musical instrument. There must be proof that the performance had taken place (I.E-Room logs). All Bards need to have some sort of way of collecting gold thus the offering of performance to local taverns and bars. Strike a deal with the owner or simply lay out a box in which for people to place gold in. Now if a deal is made with the tavern owner, then that must be stated in the log as well. Experience will be awarded once all documents are sent into the Bards Coordinator for validation. The performance must be more then two posts long, we will not accept people being lazy to gain experience from a simple one line post: use detail be creative this is a game its supposed to be fun.

Note: Once a log is used to obtain experience points for a performance, it cannot be used again. Simply hang onto it for auditing purposes, as well as to prove that you earned what experience points you gained.

Experience pts earned for entertaining: 5 x gold earned from each performance.

Note: All Thieving Attempts should be sent into the Director of Thieves for validation, thus that would be where Thieving experience would be earned.
